Hua Hin is a well-known beach spot in Thailand that is beloved by both visitors and locals. This place is located 280 kilometers southwest of Bangkok, in Prachuap Khiri Kha of southern Thailand.
In Thailand, many families live in poor housing conditions. Community buildings like temples, hospitals, and schools need improvements as well. As a volunteer, you will help these families by doing light construction and renovation work. The goal is to make better sanitation facilities, safer housing, and give communities more control over their development. Experienced coordinators will provide close instruction and supervision to ensure the safety of volunteers.
Volunteer Work:
Schedule: Mon-Fri
After breakfast, you will transfer to the volunteer site. The local coordinator will provide instructions for the day’s tasks. You can expect to work on construction and renovation tasks for about 4-5 hours each day, with a break for lunch. Lunch will be at our accommodation or near the project site.
Internet: Wi-Fi is available in public areas.
Laundry: On-site laundry machines or service is available for an extra fee.
Accommodations: Participants will stay in single-gender dormitories with up to eight people per room. Rooms have shared bath-rooms with western toilets and hot water showers. Volunteers can upgrade to private rooms for an extra fee (see Additional Options below). The accommodation complex has a pool area and garden for the volunteers.
Food: During the week, three meals a day will be given and two meals a day on Saturdays and Sundays. The meals will be Thai style, comprising rice and noodle dishes. Most of the meals will be vegetarian, with meat offered occasionally.
Culture Week in Hua Hin (Highly Recommended):
Begin your volunteer adventure with a culture week in Hau Hin for an extra fee (see below). This program introduces you to Thai culture, as well as gives you time to get to know the other volunteers. You’ll visit Buddhist temples, famous sights around Hua Hin and beautiful beaches. The program also includes Thai customs, language and cooking lessons.
