This week was amazing because I learnt about Ethiopian culture and the kids were very well-behaved. We went together practice a traditional dance with the shoulders which was very funny. And I also enjoyed playing football with the kids!
The project and the kids were so great. I think I learned a lot from the kids about their culture and I hope they learned something from me as well. The project had good food, a nice living area and a great coordinator.
Eyasu, the coordinator, is now like a brother to me. He helped from the first moment when he picked me up from the airport and introduced me to his friends and to the local culture.
He taught me Amharic and we had a great time together with the other volunteer, Irene. I am really grateful. Amasaginalo Yeni Wendin (thank you, my brother).
