Have you ever wanted to learn a new language? Do you already speak Spanish but want to improve your language skills? With GoEco’s specialized programs, you can pair your volunteering experience with Spanish language courses, and immersion practice as well! With language learning/volunteering opportunities in three main regions, South America, Central America and Europe, you can be sure to find the perfectly balanced experience.
South America: Many of our volunteer projects in South America, including in Ecuador and Argentina, place a large emphasis on the knowledge of the Spanish language. Two of our Ecuadorian projects, Wild Animal Rescue Shelter and Rainforest Monkey Sanctuary, include a one-week orientation with 20 hours of Spanish lessons in Quito between sightseeing. Our Argentinian program, entitled Study Spanish and Work with Children, involves volunteers taking Spanish lessons in the morning and volunteering in the afternoon. Our Equine Therapy program in Chile offers Spanish lessons for an additional fee. The Antigua Medical Internship in Guatemala is ideal for those who are already Spanish speakers, even if at an intermediate level and provides an opportunity for interns to expand their Spanish language skills through learning medical terminology on a daily basis. Spanish class add-ons are also available for an additional fee for this program.
Europe: GoEco has three different volunteering opportunities in Spain that offer Spanish courses in the beautiful area of Valencia either before or after the volunteer placement for an additional fee. These include our Conservation Projects in the Valencia Region, Education and Development in Valencia and Coast and Marine Conservation in Denia programs.
Central America: Most of our volunteer opportunities in Costa Rica include Spanish language classes, and include our two ever-popular projects: Animal Rescue and Conservation and Sea Turtle Conservation.
